Before joining the New Canaan Football staff in 2005, Daron had 7 years experience coaching at Rippowam High School, Penn State University and in the New Canaan youth football program. Since 2005, he has coached the Sophomore and Junior Varsity programs and in 2009, the Varsity Wide Receivers. Within that group, three players received All-State honors.
Daron grew up in Stamford, Connecticut and went to Rippowam High School. He lettered in Track & Field, and Football. He then received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bucknell University lettering in football. Following graduation from Bucknell University, Daron pursued a Master’s Degree in exercise physiology while working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Penn State University. He also received a Master’s Degree from Fairfield University in Community Counseling and Psychology. Daron worked in the health and fitness industry for 26 years before retiring in 2005.
Daron resides in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife Lisa, and their four children, David, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Michael.
