Email Daron Shepard

Before joining the New Canaan Football staff in 2005, Daron had 7 years experience coaching at Rippowam High School, Penn State University and in the New Canaan youth football program.  From 2005 to the present Coach Shepard has been the Head Junior Varsity Coach.  In 2009 and 2010 Coach Shepard was the Varsity Wide Receivers Coach. Since 2011 Coach Shepard has worked along side Chris Silvestri with the Secondary.

Daron grew up in Stamford, Connecticut and went to Rippowam High School.  He lettered in Track & Field, and Football.  He then received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bucknell University lettering in football.  Following graduation from Bucknell University, Daron pursued a Master’s Degree in exercise physiology while working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Penn State University.  He also received a Master’s Degree from Fairfield University in Community Counseling and Psychology. Daron worked in the health and fitness industry for 26 years before retiring in 2005.

Daron resides in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife Lisa, and their four children, David, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Michael.
