Email: Coach Marinelli

A graduate of New Canaan High School, in 2002 and 2003, Coach Marinelli was an All-FCIAC selection as a defensive back and quarterback for the Rams.  In 2003, he was an All-State safety and quarterback.  During his time at New Canaan, he helped the Rams win back to back State Championships in 2001 and 2002.  He was nominated captain in 2003.  He then went on to attend Canterbury School as a post-graduate.  Elected as a captain for the Saints, he helped Canterbury earn a bid to the Prep Bowl.  In 2004 with Canterbury he was an All-League Quarterback and Safety, and nominated to the All-New England team as a quarterback.

Coach Marinelli went on to play at Fordham University for his freshman year before transferring to Trinity College.  Coach Marinelli was a three year starter for the Bantams, and helped Trinity win the NESCAC Title in 2008, going a perfect 8-0.  He also helped the Bantams earn NESCAC Runner Ups in 2006, 2007, and 2009.  His last two years at Trinity, 2008 and 2009, he was an All-NESCAC selection at safety.  After his senior season he was selected as starter in a Division 3, North vs. South All-Star game.  He earned his Bachelors Degree in the spring of 2009.

As a coach for the Rams, Coach Marinelli works with the quarterbacks.  Since 2009 he has also served as the Offensive Coordinator.  While playing at Trinity, he also worked closely with the quarterbacks at New Canaan.  Since 2006, New Canaan has had 5 All-State Quarterbacks (Casali, Westfal, Quinn, Baty, and Milano).

Coach Marinelli has worked with New Canaan since 2006, and has been full time since 2009.
