Congratulations to Duke Repko, Louis Hagopian, Grady Lynch, and Dylan Karnedy who were voted by their peers to be the 2012 Team Captains. In 2011 Louis Hagopian was one of the backbones to New Canaan's underrated rushing attack. He had a team high 93 carries for 430 yards, averaging 4.62 yards per carry. He also added 3 rushing touchdowns. Grady Lynch was one of the few two-way players for the Rams, starting at Wide Receiver and Cornerback. He had 20 receptions and a touchdown on offense while being a shutdown corner for the Rams defense. Duke Repko had a breakout Junior campaign after coming off of a collar bone injury his sophomore year. He caught 20 passes for over 200 yards, averaging over 10 yards per reception and 3 receiving Touchdowns. He also saw limited time at runningback where he carried the ball 19 times for just over 100 yards. All three were named to the All-FCIAC Honorable Mention Team. Dylan Karnedy started a few games at center for Rams in 2011 and is now called upon to anchor the Rams offensive line in 2012.
Next fall, New Canaan will begin it's 85th football season and has compiled a total record of 473-269-24. 2012 will also be the 32nd season for Head Coach Lou Marinelli.
